Eating is key during this period. You are giving your body the building blocks for its well being, just as you did for baby while pregnant. Eating during the first 40 days after birth is focused on nourish foods, warm foods, and high fat foods so you can heal, restore, and alleviate any nutritional depletion which occurred during the pregnancy. Fat is super important: the fat should come from animal sources or avocados, olives, nuts, seeds.
Eating as prescribed will help you return to pre-pregnancy weight, be stronger if you choose to have more children, and to bounce back quickly.
